Co-Founder / Managing Director

Gonzalo Martínez

Gonzalo has had the privilege of working for major agencies and brands across three countries, collaborating with some of the industry’s top talent on teams that achieved outstanding business and creative results, including awards at international festivals, most notably Mexico’s Grand Effie and the Global Grand Effie.

He began his career in Argentina at agencies such as Ogilvy, Young & Rubicam, JWT, and McCann Erickson. Before moving to Mexico, Gonzalo gained experience working on Hispanic brands in the United States. Once in Mexico, he spent six years at Ogilvy, where he led O&M Advertising.

As co-founder and now Managing Director of Bombay, Gonzalo oversees the development of our offices in Mexico and the U.S.

Ericka Tolosa

With over 16 years of advertising experience specializing in business management, she worked at Rock the Agency, leading the multi-award-winning Tecate brand. Initially serving as VP of Client Services and later assuming the role of Managing Director for the USA market for the past five years, she currently serves as New Business Development and Account Client Services lead at Bombay USA. Throughout her career, she has spearheaded strategic initiatives that transformed business operations, strengthened client partnerships, and fostered high-performing global teams. She has hands-on experience managing multimillion-dollar accounts and leading multidisciplinary teams of more than 25 people to deliver integrated media and creative campaigns across digital, TV, experiential, and social channels.

A seasoned leader in the GM & Hispanic market, she has worked with over 20 top-tier brands, including Procter, Coca-Cola, Unilever, KCM, KFC, Nestlé, Espolón, Heineken, Scotiabank, and Kraft. Her outstanding contributions have been recognized with multiple awards, including a Glass and Silver Lion at Cannes Lions. She has earned numerous Effies, including the Grand and Gold Effie for Sustained Success with “Te hace falta ver más Bax,” the Grand Effie LATAM for Tecate’s Gender Violence campaign, and three Gold Effies in Alcoholic Beverages. Additional accolades include multiple Gold awards from IAB Mixx, and she has also served as a four-time jury member for Effie LatAm.

Manu Vega

A multidisciplinary Creative Director with a dozen Cannes Lions under his belt and a four-time Grand Effie winner, including the first Grand Effie awarded for innovation in Mexico by this prestigious festival. He has led two of the most historically awarded campaigns in the country: Tweetbullets and Hairfest, earning multiple gold accolades at The One Show, London International Awards, Clio, El Sol, El Ojo de Iberoamérica, and more. Recognized as Mexico’s Best Creative Director by El Ojo, he has also served as a juror at Cannes, El Ojo, and the New York Festivals.

Throughout his career, he has worked with a wide range of global, regional, and local brands such as Volkswagen, Coca-Cola, Nestlé, SEAT, Pepsico, Mars, Tequila Don Julio, Casa Cuervo, Heineken, P&G, Unilever, Metlife, Uber, Kwai, Aeromexico, Hero Motorcycles, UNESCO, Amnesty International, and many others.

Prior to Bombay, he served as Vice President of Creative Services at DDB Mexico and General Creative Director at Ogilvy Mexico.

Paulina Escobar

More than 15 years as an advertising professional. She has worked in agencies such as Grey, Publicis, DDB (where her last position was Integral Account Director. She has also worked for Casa Cuervo brands (Azul, Centenario, Maestro Dobel), Jafra, Dormimundo, Telcel and P&G, among others.

Javier Mentasti

Born in 1979, Javier Mentasti is a celebrated Argentine advertising executive known for his creative vision and leadership. At 21, he won his first Cannes Gold Lion for Telecom’s Yawn campaign, setting a high bar for his career. He began as a Junior Copywriter at Agulla & Baccetti, working with major clients like Coca-Cola and Renault, and joined J. Walter Thompson (JWT) Argentina in 2002, where he advanced to Creative Director, managing brands such as Ford, Kraft, and Quilmes, and was selected for JWT’s High Potential Group.

Mentasti’s career took off at Ogilvy & Mather Argentina, where he served as VP Executive Creative Director for the South Latin Region, leading work for top brands including Coca-Cola, Heineken, Mondelez, and Huggies. Under his leadership, Ogilvy was named Agency of the Year at Cannes Lions in 2011, and he secured over 30 Cannes Lions, including a Titanium Lion for Salta Beer’s Beer Tooth Implant and multiple awards for Coca-Cola’s Friendship Machine. His work brought Argentina its first One Show Best in Show award and only its second D&AD Yellow Pencil.

Mentasti has also contributed as a juror at many prestigious international festivals and currently teaches Portfolio Prep at Miami Ad School, where he shares his industry insights with aspiring creatives.

Walter Esteves

Our CFO with over 25 years of experience in the advertising world (Leo Burnett, O&M and Bombay) including five years with regional responsibility for Latin America at O&M. He has also been CFO of multinational manufacturing companies (12 years working with Fruehauf, Black & Decker, Ansul Parsch) as well as Head of Audit at Deloitte for six years (in USA and Mexico).

Miguel Ángel Ruiz

Mike is 50 years old and holds a degree in Advertising from the Instituto de Mercadotecnia y Publicidad. He started his career at Ogilvy in October 1999, quickly delivering standout campaigns for major clients. By 2000, he won his first Cannes Lion at the world’s most prestigious advertising festival. Just seven years into his career, in 2006, he was already Creative General Director, with Ogilvy recognized as the largest and most creatively acclaimed agency in the country. In 2011, he was appointed Vice President of the Ogilvy group, and by 2012, he joined the Worldwide Creative Council of the network.

In November 2013, after 14 years with Ogilvy, he took the leap into the independent world, co-founding Bombay, Mexico’s first fully integrated independent agency. Bombay has been recognized as an Innovator in its sector by NewCo.

Mike has won hundreds of awards in top-tier festivals worldwide, regionally, and locally, making him one of the most awarded Mexican creatives in history. He has served as a judge at numerous international festivals, presiding over many.

He’s a sports and photography enthusiast and a family man, whom he considers his greatest prize in life.

Sofía Silva

With over 15 years of experience at companies like Colgate, Danone, and Mondelez, Sofia brings a wealth of expertise to the marketing field. Formerly a Brand Manager at Danone and Mondelez, she transitioned into entrepreneurial projects before stepping into the creative agency world in 2021. As the founder of the blog and parenting community La Cigueña, Sofia has driven successful initiatives in brand positioning, communications, innovation, digital strategy, and research for renowned brands such as Philadelphia, Tang, Clight, Singles, Danup, and Danone. Now working on the agency side, she combines strategic business acumen with creative insight, providing impactful brand consulting and creative strategy for top clients like Nestlé, Sunstar, Grupo Televisa, and Hero Motos, delivering results that resonate in today’s competitive market.

Adair López

A marketer with a master’s in Data Analytics and over 8 years of experience in advertising agencies, he has made his mark on projects for global brands such as Pepsico, Grupo Volkswagen, Honda, Alsea, and Grupo Televisa. His expertise spans creative analysis to strategic planning, consistently bringing an innovative, multidimensional perspective. With an insatiable curiosity and a steadfast commitment to learning, he seeks new ways to tackle each challenge and turn available information into effective decisions.
